Holley Ryan is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor who teaches yoga at  several venues in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. Classes are varied allowing you the ability to attend the type of class that appeals to you. 

I also teach from my home studio for small groups and private instruction. If you are new to yoga and feel more comfortable having individualized instruction, then this is a good place to start. It's also a nice space to gather friends for a small fun class together!

I encourage students to listen to their bodies because you know your body best and what you're able to do. If a pose does not feel good then honor that feeling, stop to rest, modifiy it, or simply experiment how that posture would better work for your body.

I take into consideration every student’s physical abilities and teach them accordingly.  Props (blocks, straps, chairs, bolsters, the wall) are used to better enable one to feel successful in a pose. Working within your limits, you gain a new sense of self and self-confidence as you become more comfortable  and stronger in your body.

Yoga is so much more than just "plain exercise". Yoga is a  gift we give ourselves- stepping out of our busy days, that will always be busy, and declare that "I deserve this hour to take care of myself!"  We are so used to caring for others, and must remember that it is just as important to take care of ourselves- not only because we deserve it, but also to assure that we are "filled up" and have the energy to attend to the important things and people in our lives.
